Did anyone else from Canada get that postal (spam) mailing from "Domain Registry of Canada" trying to get them to switch domain registrars?

Their presentation is very misleading. Especially since switching to them is more and not less expensive as they claim.

Yep, got one back in January, 40 CAD for a year, LMAO. I pay 8.95US which came at 14.92CAD on my MC bill just this week.

Funny though? It only came on one of my domains registered with registerclub.com (NoMonthlyFees.com). My other 6 didn't get anything.

I sure hope people used their heads.

I've had a similar experience.

When one of my domains (out of 4) expired at NameSecure.com, I received the registry letter.

They must cull the registry whois info for admin contact info. Mine doesn't come up for renewal for a couple of months. I'm paying about $22 CAD for mine. Hell you can register a .ca for considerably less than $40 a year.

I got many. I just ignore them. I even have calls from them too claiming that they are Nsol's associate requesting to transfer to them.

It was very annoying receiving phones call after phones call repeating the same thing.
