Hi,

we are looking at ways to get customer feedback on our services as we believe that constructive crtiticism is one of the best ways to make something better. Have any of you ever tried getting feedback?

We are thinking either online surveys, postal questionaires, or telephone. Which do you think is the best???

Chris

having a forum gives you all the feedback you'd want..

A forum is the best way, as Yash suggested. People are free to leave as many comments as they like about your (hopefully) wonderfull service, and then they can even respond to eachother and add to the praise discussing their favorite features and aspects of your service.

Additionally, you could offer an optional anonymous survey each month just for collecting statistics on what people think about the service and what they might want to see happen. Have them rate various aspects of your hosting from 1 to 5 with 5 being the best, and see where you need to improve.

You could even kill 2 birds with one php covered stone and make those surveys polls on your forum :P

I use http://www.dominion-web.com/products/dwsurvey/ for feedback. Very affordable and flexible.

I would personally look at what is most cost effective, and will give you the best turnout.

An online survey will, from past experience provide you that best.

Good luck.

Also - if you're in a host search site that allows feedback from clients - provide a link to them for that.

We have that listed in both the welcome email, and at the top of the control panel when they log in. Asking for BOTH good and bad reviews. We want to be sure we hear everything.

During a giveaway promotion - we solicited reviews by providing an extra entry into the giveaway to clients that provided feedback. Again - good and bad reviews were welcome.

We've found that having a monthly newsletter sent out is good. Gives you a chance to communicate with the customers, let them know what's going on. And you can always put a link at the buttom or top, that you would like to get their feedback.

"We'd love to hear from you! Your Feedback is Important! :: feedback@yourhost.com "

Just my two cents :peace:
