Haven't used them myself, but I've heard many good things about this host.

Good luck :)

Hi,

I'm currently hosted with Remarkable. I have been with them for about 1 week now. Support issues are handled less than six hours. Sometimes it is very fast, less than 1 hour or 2 hours. The server that i'm on have been up the whole time.

Hope this gives you some info

Hello

I have been with them for about 10 days now. (I have a VPS with them).

1- Matthew is really a professional in his business. He has worked with ensim team in past (I have heared this in WHT) and has near cooperation wirh ensim (I have seen an article about him on ensim website. He has been one of the first who used ensim 3 in his company). This ensures that if you come up with a problem he will be able to solve it better than anyone (maybe except ensim itself).

2- Servers are in their own datacenter (a few miles from metthew's home) therefore he will be able to jump there if needed. This one ensures that you will not see long down times in case of hardware/software issues.

3- Their backup policy is better than most of hosting companies here. They have a NAS device dedicated for backup purpose. In case of a disaster they will be able to restore backups to a server.

4- Badwidth is from eli.net. As matthew has told me they have a 99.9999% uptime guarantee on network.

5- And finally Matthew is on ICQ most of the time. (for emergency help). Helpdesk tickets are resolved in a timely manner.

I wish this can help you.

Regards,
Mac

My only experience with them has been modding webhostdir.com's forum. I chatted with the owner a few times via PM and my impression is he's a very professional, courteous individual. As Chicken will no doubt agree, it's a good indication of their attitude to business when they act well on a forum. (Asking before posting and requesting permission to reply to posts etc).

Coupled with no bad reviews that I can think of, I think you're on a pretty safe bet.

I've been hosting with remarkable for 6 months now. I have yet to experience anything wrong. and any downtime that did happen has been announced like server maintenance windows and etc. Support has been nothing but amazing. I usually get my answers within hours if not minutes sometimes!!!

I already have 3 servers with remarkable all running ensim, its been great, Remarkable has given me the best experience out of all the hosting providers i've dealt with since i've been in the game (since 1996!)

I've been a customer for about 3 months. I have experienced excellent uptime and prompt support.

The only problem I have had is occasional support responses that are somewhat terse and not nearly informative enough. Matthew and I have butted heads over some support issues in the past. My opinion is that they don't try hard enough to deal with the really difficult (and esoteric) problems. He would probably say that I expect too much.

All in all they are a great value considering the level of uptime and support they provide. If you’re looking for a VDS, IMHO there is no better alternative and believe me I did my homework before I signed up.

Hi Justin,
I'm sorry the support you received wasn't the technical level that you expected. Sometimes it is hard to 'read' the customers technically. We usually start off simple and then proceed from there, mainly because we have numerous customers that don't have an indepth knowledge of some of the problems we run into (and don't want that knowledge.. they just want to run their website).. and then on the other hand, I'm sure like yourself, that they want the exact error, time, date, place, etc. etc. etc.. :) They enjoy all the technical stuff and want to help where they can..

I'm sure the issues you have experienced were probably along those lines, and if not, again I apologize. We do try very hard on our support to make sure each customer is personally happy.

Thanks for your patronage,
Dennis Laube

They have been extremely helpful and courteous. As importantly, it looks like they are very well organized and are in it for the long term.
We have had some issues with Ensim having conflicts with running our java applications (compatibility issues with tomcat?). For everything else, they are excellent.
