Why don't you register Podsters.us? Seems like a good domain name to me and it is currently available. If you made it a community site, the US extension would make some sense. The Podsters.com and Podsters.net domains are registered but no websites are up yet so you don't have a conflict yet.

The OP could register the .us and put a lot of work into the site, only to have the owner of the .com domain steal most his traffic. Not a good idea.

Any particular genre? Mainstream or adult oriented? I have some for sale on Sedo, but they are mostly adult related.
