AH-Tina 01-21-2006, 09:21 AM Any particular geographic location or price range? What, exactly, are you looking for in a DC?

wmghori 01-21-2006, 09:39 AM US Data Center or EU center will do too. Quality will be prefered over price. I want to setup hosting company starting from 5-10 servers then increasing gradually.
gfxnetwork 03-12-2006, 09:34 AM Yeah if anyone knows off any good data centers please do share.
Real-Hosts 03-12-2006, 09:55 AM Any Redbus facility?
A TeleCity facility?
hosting_ie 03-12-2006, 11:06 AM EU and US is a big range :) Do you have specific requirements in terms of type of space, carriers available, etc? Do you want to do yuor own routing, or use a DC that contains or provides multi-homed transit?
Ackoo-jt 03-12-2006, 12:11 PM I have been very pleased with the Savvis datacenter in Fort Worth.
mirceacr 03-12-2006, 07:49 PM I am looking too for a DataCenter located in Europe ! I am interested for a one who offers Cpanel also and dedicated servers, with 24/24 and 7/7 qualified support. I mean real support like in USA, not like in France where support is not available during the weekend.

Is that true of most providers in France? Or just your provider?

mirceacr 03-12-2006, 08:55 PM there are a lot of closed hosting bussines in France. Generally speaking, in France there is not such a great support . There is no way to compare the support provided by a USA hosting provider with an non US one. This is my opinion after 2 years experience in this bussines.
BlazeHD 03-12-2006, 08:57 PM The Planet is the best however all thier servers are sold out. Savvis is another good datacenter like Ackoo mentioned. Some big companies have thier own datacenters such as 1and1. The best thing to look for is a multihomed network and obviously a DC staffed 24/7 however things like that go without saying.
Good luck in choosing a DC though.
mirceacr 03-12-2006, 08:59 PM the only inconvenient is that I need a closer data center for better speed acces. USA is 2-3 times slower than any other datacenter located in EU. Otherewise there is no reason to choose a European provider. But this is only my opinion.
Duport 03-12-2006, 09:15 PM I would have to recommend http://www.coreix.net. Search around for feedback on here
hosting_ie 03-13-2006, 04:38 AM There are also self-owned operators in the UK and Ireland, and Netherlands, that will meet your requirements.
bhafer 03-13-2006, 08:32 PM LiquidWeb. Hands down.
Funkadelic 03-14-2006, 10:24 PM www.softlayer.com >> Ran by the employees of ThePlanet
bd3500 03-17-2006, 03:33 PM If you want Quality, try to get into Equinix.
It is carrier neutral, so you have your choice on bandwidth.
Consider a blended IP mix from someone like Internap.
keliix06 03-17-2006, 04:20 PM I'll throw in a recommendation for AcuNett. Have been very pleased with them.
