jase133 05-02-2002, 12:10 PM I read in some earlier posts oh WHT that some people have been having Revecom problems.

So my point is this... I was looking at Revecom and want to join. What they offer suits my needs and I can't really find another CC processor that offers the same things at that price. What should I do? Any comments/suggestions? I'll be selling tangible goods.
Mxhub 05-02-2002, 09:53 PM We had being using Revecom for over a year. They are quite reliable and professional.
ckevin 05-02-2002, 10:00 PM don't worry, they are reliable to me and they are getting better this year (planned to have more features), so it's worth to join!
jase133 05-02-2002, 10:27 PM Can anyone confirm or invalidate the claim in one of the above threads that Revecom is going out of business? I really want to join, but this is a big issue that I need to contemplate about.
ckevin 05-02-2002, 10:44 PM I never heard of this, as far as I know, they are expanding their business.
alohahosts 05-02-2002, 10:59 PM Aloha~
That thread about Revecom was from January. I haven't had any problems with them since, in fact they just redid their payment schedule so now payments are sooner than they were.
Walter 05-03-2002, 05:24 PM No problems so far.
No major complaints from me. Been using them for nearly a year.
beley 05-03-2002, 11:13 PM No complaints here either... really like them.
akashik 05-05-2002, 10:26 AM They've had troubles in the past but the last few months have been good. The only outstanding issue is one I've talked to a few users about, and one that paysystems doesn't seem to acknowledge. That's doublecharging when accounts are placed back into the database after failing billing on the third attempt.
Customer fails billing three times and gets deleted from the system
Customer provides updated details and gets put back in the system by paysystems staff
Customers begins to get charged multiple times per month.
We had a customer hammered 5 times in one month for her monthly hosting fee. Phone calls from us to paysystems got them refunded with assurances it wouldn't happen again (on the third one). Eventually we just pulled her account from their billing system and gave her a free account to compensate for her trouble. So far we hasn't been charged again since, but are keeping an eye out next month.
It's not a common issue, and this is the only time we've had a customer with the issue (though I've spoken to other hosts that say they've had it more often). Hopefully paysystems programmers will look at the issue one day (or teach their staff to push the right buttons).

I've had the exact same thing happen. I've also had instances where Paysystems tell me client's card was declined when client was actually still charged. And when double charges occur and I tell them to refund, Revecom doesn't automatically refund me my $1 authorization charge either.
These things don't happen every day, but it worries me greatly. I hope they fix these things soon.
zoneindex 05-05-2002, 08:01 PM Currently, we had yet encounter any paysystem problem.
VOHost 05-06-2002, 10:24 AM So far we have only had one minor problem with Revecom and that was a delay of payments by around 2 weeks but that was nothing too drastic.
We would highly recommend them and with the new live chat support and faster payments we believe they provide some of the best payment processing solutions around.

Rochen 05-06-2002, 01:09 PM We switched to Revecom in January and so far no problems. Top notch service :)
madsere 06-06-2002, 09:13 AM How about declined cards?
I just started using Revecom and so far over half of my signups are being declined. I check them and they are bona fida, i.e. not stolen cards or such. Lost business is money out of my pocket, I am NOT a happy camper.
Is there any viable alternative? I tried 2checkout before revecom but they had issues with their shopping cart/database system that I could not accept.
There must be somthing better in the same price range, no? What about European processors, any of those around?

StarGate 06-07-2002, 01:28 PM We use them to and I can say that they are very good.
kjedwards 06-07-2002, 01:56 PM I have just signed up with Revecom and I must say that their pre-sales help and advice and post sale support has been fantastic.
I ended up with 3 seperate accounts 2 in GBP and 1 in USD for one set up cost of $79
They have been great up to now.
Yours
