Are there any downsides to purchasing a reseller plan instead of a shared hosting plan for multiple domain hosting?

I am not planning on reselling hosting, but it looks like I get a lot more for my money if I purchase a reseller account.

There are no "downsides" because you're already on a shared box for your current domains that you've been forced to pay for 1 at a time.

Yes, you get more bang for your hosting buck with a reseller type hosting account. You can setup your own domains and control every aspect of them yourself with the server management software.

It's a dream scenario for folks that have heaps of sites and have been lining their web hosts pocket by paying for them 1 at a time. With a reseller type account, you pay for the resources that your domains use and not paying for them 1 at a time simply to line some web hosts pockets.

Well,

I'm on a reseller plan not reselling any hosting. It's just great to have all the features and being able to control everything out of one simple control panel.

Same as being able to have some ip addresses for the sites you would need it, probably more space and bandwith than you currently have for that price.

I've got my reseller plan with 1 gig of space and more than enough bandwith. have a look at everyday internet solutions (http://www.eishost.com).

Erik

I happen to agree with Erik, 1 panel control is the best way to handel your buisness if you have more than 5 domains. and when you really think about it, there are very few sites that consume more that there allocated bandwidth ( well that not might be true on my servers )
