Let me know by posting here if your hosting company offers domain names via OpenSRS from Tucows.
Also, just to confirm, am I correct in assuming that if one OpenSRS reseller folds up in future, I can still retain control over my domain names via the website of another OpenSRS reseller?
If not, could i do so at the OpenSRS website directly?

We are an OpenSRS reseller <removed>
If an OpenSRS reseller does go under, your domain would still be manageable at http://manage.opensrs.net
You can't register domain names directly with OpenSRS.

As long as the reseller is using the standard username and password for your profile information and has not fronted-ended it with his own password manager, you can use the Domain Manager interface at any reseller as well.
When you want to renew, you have to perform a transfer to your new reseller, but the manage interface works fine.

thanks for your replies. i just visited both your sites.
i have one more question:
if i was to book my domain names through your site, can i change the password for the domain name so that it remains under my control totally in future?
also, since i am a reseller for a web host, i would need to have individual passwords for each of my customers which i plan to hand over to them so that they can subsequently change them.
is this possible with your OpenSRS interface?

ok... sadly your domain name prices for .com are a bit too high for my client.
could you or some other members please suggest other OpenSRS resellers who sell domain names for lesser?
btw, joelmoss... very nice web design u have there!
