I posted this question in the technical issues forum but I have not received much help.
My clients are requesting for me to offer sharepoint services. I need some consultant or somebody willing to coach me on how to properly install it in my windows 2003 servers which are already running hundreds of sites.

thanks

i don't think you can offer sharepoint service for hosting. have you try MS's sharepoint service website? they have a admin guide there .chm file showing you how to depoly sharepoint service

Yes we offer SharePoint 2003 services so it is possible. Is this question for SharePoint 2003 (v2.0) you are talking about?

If so, the installation won't effect other sites but can be complex in configuring if you are not familiar with it. For example, SharePoint cannot be installed on sites with FrontPage installed. Sharepoint sites are stored in a MSDE SQL database or an SQL 2000 database (preferred) so this would need to be configured at installation.

Let me know if you have any specific questions.

are you sure about that? last i heard you need SPLA for Sharepoint portal server then you can offer it. sharepoint service is addon for windows server but i dont' think the liscense allow you to offer it as hosting.
