Over the last couple of months, some of my web design clients have received e-mails from a company called "Astra Hosting.com". The e-mails were telling the client how they heard their current hosting provider was going out of business soon and they could offer better service and support, for a cheaper price.

When the clients contacted me (14 so far...), I told them it was obviously spam and we are not going out of business....in fact, we are expanding greatly to provide them more service. Which is true......

Then, two days ago, I register a new domain for a client and stick up their web site........

Today, BOOM......they get an e-mail from this "Astra Hosting.com" telling them the same thing.....it's almost like these guys watch to see when I point a new domain at my DNS servers and then send an e-mail to the client....

So, anybody heard of them, or having similar problems. I am not too worried about it because my service and support is awesome to my clients and everyone knows that I am expanding, not closing, but it is very annoying both for me and my clients.

Any thoughts?

If it is astrahosting.com, why not give them a shout?
