I was looking for a new CMS for my magazine & just when I thought I had seen three of the best/typical ones, I came across another that actually has everything I need [TextPattern.]
For anyone looking for a CMS, I recommend this site.

I never really paid attention to the site before.
I've never been in their forum. I'll check it out.

cmsmatrix is also a good way to compare packages side by side as well. opensourcecms has a lot of vaporware/abandonware on there as well as a lot of beta products.
I have use opensourcecms a bit too, but the best for me is to download the script, install on the local server and break it apart. I put a lot of emphasis on the template system since i use to change it almost entirely. Having the script run on my local server can allow me to try to modify and see what's working and what not.

Yep the site is very useful for testing different scripts to see if they are suitable for a project :)

Awesome web site. The link is opensourcecms.com. This is where I found the easiest systems I was looking for - CMSMadeSimple (cmsmadesimple.org) and Etomite (etomite.org).
