I would also like to express my renewed enthusiasm for our discussion with VDI. Customers need to be reassured that they are our primary concern in working out any agreement. We have no intention of terminating Cpanel licenses for VDI clients. I feel that with responsible and friendly negotiations, we will be able to come to an agreement that pleases all parties involved. On a related note, I would also like to dispel any rumors that we hold, or have ever held any malice towards VDI. We are working this issue out.

Nice to hear Adam. Thanks for letting us know what's really going on. When left uninformed, some people's imaginations tend to run wild.

1st, I'm actually dwh at other sites...
Glad some of you are relieved. Surprises are sprung on me ever since I decided to get a dedicated server w/ Alabanza. What a nightmare. Now Burst bought UltraSpeed right after all this CP business.
So is burst using vdi? Didn't they get a lot of complaints?
CPanel's are the same? How's the network.
You guys are in the know, isn't there any place to host where I don't have to have a seizure weekly to do normal business?

I think there is a saying, if you don't like how its done, do it yourself :-). Nobody on the planet is going to have a perfect connection. There are some serious flaws in the way the internet works that are preventing this, i.e. the ablility to flood in various ways. As long as you are using the net excpect to have problems with something. Its just the way this thing works :-(. Things break all the time, the best thing you can do is clean up the pieces as fast as possible.

I guess you are answering me? So if you want me to do it myself are you saying, as the Sr. SysAdmin for BurstNET, who just bought UltraSpeed, and is therefore the new company that handles my dedicated server business, that you would like me to do it myself? So Burst.net does not want me as a customer?
Is this what you will tell all the other people who have servers at UltraSpeed and are worried by the ridiculous business maneuvers of the last weeks? If you cannot understand our concern at being tossed around by Alabanza to Daniel to Jordan to Burst.net in a short period of time, then I don't care if you are lead CPanel developer, Sr. Sysadmin, whatever, you have got a lot to learn kid.
If you were at another company, I'd almost understand your comment, but with the upheavals going on, you should learn a bit of tact. Every company will have its problems, but I think U.S. customers have been more than understanding and you guys should be very humble if you plan to keep your customers.

hostShopping2-
This thread dealt with the cpanel licensing issue that was going on about 2-3 weeks ago. The relief was that the developers and VDI were working together. Your questions were not releated to this announcement.
I think Nick was just saying, yes, there have been complaints but... there is only so much you can do.
If you have any questions/comments about this issue, please direct them to the thread I started (which I just checked and no one is using, *sigh*), here:
