Hello Everybody,

I've been browsing this forum for the last couple of days and it's really helpful and informative.

I'm looking at buying a reseller hosting plan but am kind of having trouble finding a good and reliable host that offers a good amount of bandwidth for my budget. I want a reseller hosting plan that offers ATLEAST 100+ GB of bandwidth/data transfer, and a couple of GB of disk space. I'm not really concerned as much with the disk space as I am the bandwidth/data transfer. My budget is pretty much anywhere below $40.00. Also, a host that has been in business for a while is preferrable.

Any advice anybody could give me would be awesome.

Thank you very much for your time everybody.

Have you looked at any companies yet? I would suggest you take some time and make a list. Go over the things you like and dislike and go from there to narrowing it down to something you like. If you find a host that doesn't offer exactly what you want, email them. See if they will do a custom plan for you!

Try findmyhosting.com and start with a list from there.

Yeah, I appreciate your help but I've already done the things the two of you suggested. Like I said, I've been browsing this forum for the last couple of days reading everything relevant to my question. I've been two hostvoice.com, etc. as well.

Any other suggestions guys?

What companies did you narrow your findings down too? What are you going to be putting on the servers? Is it going to be resource intense site? Or will the hosting company barely notice you.

How much bandwidth are you really looking for? How much will you need? 100+ GB bandwidth = 200 gb, 300gb, 400 gb.

I've narrowed my findings down to hostgator.com (I don't want to pay $50.00/mo for 100 GB of BW) and I was about to go for rackslash.com (until I realized that there weren't any reseller accounts) and those are the closest two I've come to actually purchasing. My primary web site is an ecommerce web site and I receive high bursts of traffic at different times (30+ vistors to 200+ visitors at times) on a daily basis. Right now I use close to 60 GB of "traffic" a month on my current server (one web site) so like I said I need at least in the range of 100+ GB of bandwidth a month (I plan on adding more web sites).

What do you have to suggest? Anybody?

stevenecom im not trying to be rude or something but theres a search button. There is no point posting questions as that you have asked. You do have 3 post and fairly new like me but i did look around at the features of this forum. And as far as i know there is a perfect search for the forums that can be used within clicks. So i hope you understand what im trying to say.

Hey Deed, did you not read my posts? I've been reading this forum for the last couple of days. I've done my fair share of searches in that time. I'm just trying to find an answer to my question, that's all.

Try looking at maybe a VPS solution. Although because you are looking for 100gb of bandwidth you might find that hard for $40.00 a month.

you can try pxtek.com, been a client with them for 16 months, good uptime, good support, and the owner is really nice towards clients. If you're looking to purchase a reliable hosting, I highly recommend pxtek.com

i am also with pxtek.com - quite good, but not that large a plan. Are you starting up now or already have some clients, if your starting up maybe pxtek.com - smallest reseller plan is quite good both otherwise maybe you want to go for hostgator.

You really shouldnt have a hard time finding those resources for your budget range. Do you have any specific requirements? Such as what control panel.

With the type of website and usage you have I wouldn't really venture going with hosts charging under $40 for 120Gb of data transfer. Just my way of seeing things.

I believe a $40 VPS would cover your needs on paper, but in your case I would be worried for it not to become overloaded, especially when you'll start using towards the VPS's data transfer limit (100-150GB).
