I came across this company from an advertisements on tophosts.com. I know, I know I shouldn't look at those, but I am always looking to see what companies will do next. I came across Logicworks.net. It looks like a fairly simple down-to-earth company. Like a Myacen that offers dedicated servers too. But when I click on this (http://www.logicworks.net/servcshared.php) it made me sick to my stomach. Here's the info:

$25/month + $50/setup
Your own domain name (http://www.yourdomain.com)*
FTP access to upload your HTML
Limited CGI access
5 mailboxes (you@yourdomain.com)
10 MB of storage
1 GB of transfer

*You will be billed directly by Network Solutions for your domain name registration.

LOL! Not even do they give you less space than Geocities, but that they'll be happy to give you a domain from people who lie about other people domain reigstrars and the expiration date. Go figure? Wonder if it's any good. Anyone willing to fork over for QUALITY hosting? This must be the god of hosts for that.

That makes you sick to your stomach? You must leave a charmed life when that makes you ill. Without knowing their business plan, network, staff, platform, etc - you really can't make any judgement about their services. They may hold someone's hand through the entire set-up process, HTML help, design help, whatever. The whole thing could be on a SAN w/ 100% uptime, backups every 2 minutes. Granted it's doubtful they do all this, but their pricing is way more realistic than 75% of the woefully inexpensive hosts. They just aren't overselling as badly as most of us do - 80% of our customers still use less than 10MB of disk space.

Well, at least we can't get on their case for over-selling... ;)

Of course... maybe they use decript 386's with 600 MB hard drives on a 1200 baud modem... then they might be overselling... LOL ;)

I don't know what they offer, but if they can offer 100% uptime with at least three different types of backups along with 24/7 technical support that can resond within minutes and walk you through step by step, then those prices are worth it for a business with a small mission-critical site that doesn't want to get their own server. Yes, for the average Joe, their prices are overkill, but they don't seem to be targetting personal or very small business sites.
