I saw that a few of you are using Verisign's "Payflow Link" service. Is there a good place to get a merchant account to use here?
Has anyone compared Verisign's service to AuthorizeNet's service? Are there any good benefits to one or the other? I've considered getting the merchant account from Harbor-Net.com, but I don't think they support Verisign.
Thanks!

Unfortunately I know very little about Authorize.net.
I got my merchant account included with the payment gateway from http://www.surefirecommerce.com. They also have a component that they give out for free when you sign up. You can check my hacked version at https://secure.webfors.com
They also include a web interface that you can login into to generate/view reports, and a manual transaction tool (web terminal) to process cards with.
Speak to Neil and tell him to give you the forsyth deal.
Note to moderators: I am not advertising as I receive nothing by recommending this company. :D

I recommend Card Service International to my clients. They issue merchant accounts for a set-up fee of anywhere between $500 to $1000, and there's also a monthly gateway fee of around $40. The discount rate for VISA and Mastercard is around 2.3%. For more info, visit their web site at http://www.cardservice.com. I'm quite happy with their level of service thus far, and they're quite flexible as well.
Kind Regards,
