Hi,
Im looking to get a football/soccer site started up, as of yet I dont have a domain or hosting as I want to ensure i will get the site i want first.

Mainly it is to be a forum for UK soccer, so im not to fussed what forum software i use as long as it has a nice theme and a good football/soccer banner.

If possible id liekt to run a portal/cms just to make it look nice with things like Vbookies (or similar as i wont have vbulletin or vbportal) and maybee post some latest stories on the front page etc.

Please give me your thoughts

find a host who offers cpanel and fantastico. You can setup a invision or phpbb forum instantly. You then hire a designer to create a banner for the UK soccer and football. This can cost as low as $5/month if you find the right person. :) Good luck.
