I'm looking for a web hosting but don't know which one is better for the future use. Should I go with Windows or Unix server?

Well I go with some kind of Windows since I use ASP on my sites.

If you dont need .ASP I suggest Linux(Unix) based hosting .. Far more superior as far as security goes and you will find Linux hosting usually cheaper than Win hosting.. Thats the reason 90% host use *nix. Good luck..

Even though I live on selling Windows hosting I agree. At least when the pricing part. Licensing costs for Windows and maybe SQL Server generally makes Windows hosting more expensive.
It's kind of: if you are not sure you really need Windows then Linux should be your first choice.
