View Full Version : Need feedback on webreseller.net
swijaya0101 05-01-2002, 01:05 PM anybody hosted their dedicated server with webreseller.net?
how good is their support?
I have been hunting for their server for the last 2 weeks but it always sold out.
tuncer 05-01-2002, 01:41 PM They absolutely kick ass. We got a P4 server and it was set up within 24 hours. They responded to problem tickets in a matter of minutes. Overall the machine is working extremely well and their speed is fantastic.

Everyday 05-01-2002, 03:24 PM Great support, solid network and nice people.
diederik 05-01-2002, 03:39 PM Been with them for 4 months now, no complaints so far ;)
ckevin 05-01-2002, 11:35 PM helpful, great network and fast server. They tried their best to help you, but sometimes when dealing with ensim webppliance, their support cannot satisfy me... i know that's not their fault though :)
Aussie Bob 05-02-2002, 02:04 AM I'd like to get a box from them and mirror another server for backup purposes. Now if I could only figure out how to mirror accross datacenters. :)
terrastudios 05-02-2002, 04:39 AM Heres an idea for you aussiebob:
Create a crontab that gzips/tars all the folders u want to mirror (probably /home & /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf), then get the script to ftp the zip over to the other server, which then 2 hours later executes a croned script which extracts the files to its local disk.
TADA mirroring via any datacentre
Id laugh so much if you actually implemented this ;)

Better yet, CPanel
webreseller 05-02-2002, 08:13 PM PLESK IS ONLY 7 DAYS AWAY :) With a knockout special...
DomiNET.net 05-02-2002, 08:18 PM do you have boxes without control panel?
Whats the new special and can plesk be an upgrade?
webreseller 05-02-2002, 09:15 PM We can not mention what the specials will be, but if you wanted to upgrade to plesk there would be a fee involved, not sure what that will be...
webreseller 05-02-2002, 09:15 PM We are not offering systems without a control panel as of yet..
boing 05-02-2002, 09:28 PM I have been with webreseller for over 4 months. They have been great. The support is always there when needed. Any queries are always answered in a timely manner. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending them to anyone looking for hosting.:D
hope this helps
Not a problem.....I wouldn't think it would be offered without a fee to upgrade to Plesk. I just wanted to know what it would so I could think on it....and have my mind made up when Plesk is being offered. :)
Okay, I just got my P4 server from Webreseller. The server and the network are very fast. I contacted support several times about DNS configuration and installing kernel and software updates. They got them installed within 24 hours.
One thing that I don't like is they don't provide MRTG stat like my other server providers do. I mean how hard it is to install MRTG? Without MRTG, how can I check my actual bandwidth usage? Well, I hope this would change their mind :)
insiderhosting 05-03-2002, 11:22 PM all i can say is that webreseller is a top notch hosting provider. I do not have enough good things to say about their staff who really helped me out when I was in a bind. I agree with twrs though and wish that they would install mrtg so we can monitor our traffic because I'm not sure how reliable the stats are in WHM. But if I had to make the decision on what hosting provider to choose, it would be webreseller all the way.
Good luck in whatever decision you make.
Steven
JBIZ718 05-03-2002, 11:29 PM It is very easy to install a MRTG graph on your own for future reference. Though I do think it would be a added feature.

For the past month, I believe it's 100% uptime...
So far for me it started out great.....about 100% but I had to server down times.....once during the week....somehow (this is what I was told)the power for my server knock loose....after I talked to support through their Live Support....it was fixed in about ten mins.
Then another downtime......and after I tried to reboot and that failed...I put a support ticket in and in a matter of 15 to 20mins my server was back on running great. I didn't get from them what the problem was but this was on the weekend a Saturday as well.
So about 99 to 98% uptime ...so far.
Hope this helps.....
