Has anyone heard of Dot-Com-Hosting?

They have a 15 GB plan with 350 MB disk space and adult hosting for $11 per month. They have several positive reviews at host search. I am not impressed with their web site design, and I am concerned that they do not offer static IP addresses or statistics.

They seem to be associated with Urgent Host. Atleast the domian is owned by Urgent host. hmm

Urgent Host's 350 MB, 15 GB plan is nearly identical to Dot-Com-Hostings 350 MB, 15 GB plan. Their plan descriptions list the same features in the same order. The only difference in their plans is price. Dot-com-hosting is slightly less expensive. I suspect that Dot-com-hosting is an Urgent Host reseller.

I have heard bad things about Urgent Host in a different thread, so I am going to keep looking.

I think it might be smart to do a search of WHT concerning UrgentHost.com -- they've been taking some heavy flack in other threads.

If this is the same outfit, one would be well advised to think twice.

It's an extremely common shell game in the webhosting industry for a hosting service that has earned itself a rotten reputation to simply go re-up under a different name.

We are not affiliated with urgenthost.com what so ever. The fact is, we used to be a reseller of them. That is why our plans are so similar. We broke away from them about 5 months ago, and now have our own dedicated servers etc. We chose not to change our plans since they were selling pretty well. For the matter of why we have them in our DNS, we use them to host our web site off-site. I hope this clarifies everything, if there is anyway I can clarify or prove this more please tell me.

How come the domain name Whois shows the same info?

I thought I calrified this, they purchased the domain name for us when we were reselling with them a while ago, we never moved our site of there servers.

Why would you pay to have your site on their servers when you can put it on your own dedicated servers and pay nothing..?

Also you can still change the domain name info.

We do not like to keep our web site on the client server that is why. Like i said before we are know longer affiliated with urgenthost.com and have not been for some time now. Our clients are very happy with us and have posted many good reviews on host search.

Let's not drag this out any more. Contact win98pro via email if you wish to find out more about the site. I'd rather see some discussion about their services.

I WOULD SUGGEST POSTING A NEW THREAD ON THIS.

I don't see them from here, either; not even in tracerts.
