anybody has a problem with godaddy hosting?
I'm always getting error "service temporarily unavailable" on torrent-finder .com? are they limiting traffic?
their offer was too good, maybe I should have notice it's too good to be true
5GB, 250GB bandwidth for $3.95/mo
I thought it's just the unavailablity of cpanel and coding support or old servers that makes it that cheap

Many do.....We have been getting a lot of customers from GoDaddy many others.... I would say %60 of our clients in the last three months came from there.... check the forum you will see there are many issues with GoDaddy configuration.

I always saw this coming when Godaddy announced the were going to offer web hosting. Godaddy already has their finger in a huge part of the internet. It is a billion dollar company before the web hosting, and why they would want to jump in the web hosting is beyond me. they have so many other great services I think the hosting is just going to be overlooked.

I'm using Godaddy to store datafiles, no problems at all. But as you say, I will not use them to my website. I tried some simple PHP scripts ( a guestbook and a filemanager ) and I never got the php pages to work at godaddy.com.
I have no problems at other hosts.

I have monitored the server for some time now, and they have no downtime. I always get 1.1 - 1.2 MB/s upload/download speed.

So not all bad, but if you have more then some simple .html pages, you have to pick another host.

Agreed, they are still going to focus on their main product... domains. GoDaddy is great for domains, but I've read a lot of bad things about their hosting.

I've just tried your idea just to retrieve some alternative ad links with .html extension, they produced the same error

Right, I have seen many posts on Godaddy here and it seems the general consensus is they are OK for domains but the hosting is to be avoided...

I've personally never had a problem with GoDaddy. The only issue that I had is wanting a little bit more control over the MySQL database privileges than they grant. I have a few clients on GoDaddy accounts without any problem too. Have you checked your stats pages to see if you are actually nearing the limit of traffic you're provided on your current service plan?

My cousin used it, it's on a windows server and it's slow as ****. I'd go with a real server.

It appears that GoDaddy has been doing an on-again, off-again fight against bittorrent sites. I found that at digg.com: http://torrentfreak.com/godaddy-attacks-torrent-sites/ .

Not sure of the full story yet. I'm betting a few torrent sites were distrubuting copyright material illegally. Too many people trying throw the baby out with the bathwater...

I've already contacted them before starting the hosting and they said it's fine, if my site was illigal then they should have refused hosting the site
