Hi,

This is my first post here, but WHT helped me find both my current hosts, which are great, so I know what a great resource it is.

Problem:

I was with Wizards for a short time quite a while back when they were having downtime problems, and althought I know they're a quality host, I left, for a host with less downtime.

I signed up for thier mailing list at the time, and now, once a month I get a "wizardshosting.com mailing list memberships reminder."

I have tried the unsubscribe link - doesn't work, I get a 404. I tried emailing Wizards directly several times - doesn't work, no reply at all. So this morning, when yet ANOTHER of these emails appeared in my inbox, I thought I'd come here and see if i could get Carlos or someone else from Wizards to contact me, so I could finally stop these useless emails.

How about it Carlos? Please let me know how I can get this stopped.

Yeah, I know it's only once a month, but any legitimate business would not want to go out of their way to aggravate someone. I have been getting these since August of 2001.

Hi Mark,

I got the same email this morning and was able to unsubscribe using the links in the email. The links are pretty long and your email reader might be wrapping them and losing part of the link. You might want to try cutting and pasting the link into your browser.

Thanks for getting me to try it again Richard! It actually worked this time!

It didn't wrap, and the entire link appeared in the status bar, but Wizards must have changed something, because I tried three or four times when I first started trying to stop these emails, to use the unsubscribe, and all I got then were 404s.

Anyway, problem solved, and this forum seems to get more valuable to me all the time. Thanks again Richard!
