I want a web host based in the UK who supports ASP, SQL Server 2000 with a view to maybe upgrading at some point to the .NET architecture but this is not essential right now. I'm looking for a shared host solution.

Can anyone recommend a few companies to me?

Try Netcetera http://www.inetc.net they support ASP, SQL Server 2000 and .NET and load of other features.

You don't say whether you're recommending them though. I've trawled through there poorly designed site and there are only fleeting references to SQL Server and ASP on the Shared Server hosting packages and they want £120 per month aswell !!!!!

Far too much I think.

Does anyone use any that they would recommend like say iarna.co.uk or hostroute.co.uk ?

I would recommend them, my site with them is ASP driven and I have 10MB SQL,with the all the other extra's they include I am being charge £25.00 per month.
