I am looking into using Modern Authorize. Does anyone have any experience with them? I am curious.

they are fine but ask to use the older authorize.net program, their bluepay program sucks :)

According to their site, they integrate pretty well with modernbill. Is that the case?

Modernbill and modern authorize are produced by the same company (moderngigabyte) so the integration should be good between the two. It might be worth checking out the modernbill forums for people who are using the two. http://forums.modernbill.com

modernauthorize is simply another merchant account provider. What has to integrate with modernbill is the payment gateway, for US merchants it would be bluepay, used to be modernbill. For Canadian and UK merchants it would be protx. I'm certain modernbill integrates fine with both of those.

Of course you could also check out cdgcommerce and their autorize.net solution as another option. That too will integrate with modernbill as well as many other billing applications.

If you want to use authorize.net, I'd suggest Instant Merchant (http://www.instamerchant.com/) .. it's CardService + Authorize.net.

Modern Authorize + BluePay is great for starting out. I recently just signed up for their no monthly minimums plan. One downside to BluePay is that it is difficult to get ahold of anyone on the phone. I have tried calling them with a few minor questions but have not gotten a response. Like I said, I just signed up less than a week ago, it was very easy to apply and setup (just a few clicks of the mouse in modernbill and wala!)

So to recap...
Pros: Easy to setup, cheap for starting out
Cons: Contacting BluePay may prove to be difficult
