Hi, am selling space on my dedicated server but i noticed that some users are using links like:

my-ip.com/~username/file.ext

And that way they avoid that bandwidth to be measure, under WHM i found:

Tweak Security and then mod_userdir Tweak

I have check the Enable mod_userdir Protection box

and by default each time i enter there the box "DefaultHost (nobody)" is checked.

If i uncheck that box the problem is solved BUT i would like some domains to have access to files with the IP since some accounts i made do not have domains assigned to them but if i check those domains they dont work either.

How can i allow access to some accounts with the IP and tilde?

thanks.

Create a subdomain account for them or check their box under mod_userdir Protection

Ok am checking the: Enable mod_userdir Protection.

uncheck the DefaultHost (nobody)

I check the account.com (account) box (the one i want access with the IP) then i press SAVE

and i have no access to any account using the IP :( not even the one i check the box to exclude it.

And if i check the box next to DefaultHost (nobody) everyone gets access.

I thought this could be better answered on the technical section of WHT.
