Hi all -- I am a reporter tasked with looking at some too good to be true hosting deals. Anyone and everyone who was promised $99/month dedicated servers with unlimited bandwidth; free hosting; free bandwidth or anything I can't quite imagine along the same lines, please write to me asap at max@smetannikov.net or post your thoughts below. I am operating under the assumption that if it sounds like it is too good to be true, it is. So I am looking for stories either countering or confirming this point. The story is due May 6. Cheers.

Alot of offers for cheap dedicated servers posted around here are true. Just a few examples of people who follow through with there cheap prices are...
RackShack
TranXact Global
eServers.biz
and lots of others
As for people promising unlimited bandwidth/webspace, that is to good to be true, seeing there is no such thing as a unlimited bandwidth connection, or unlimited harddrives. I am glad someone wants to inform the public of this issue. Good luck with your story.

It was a reporter from hosting tech magazine. He did an interview with him but I am not sure if it ever got published.
