Hi,
I am thinking of starting up a web hosting company, could someone please give me some advice on how to prevent fraud. Some methods to make sure all information is correct etc.
100% trusted methods please.
Thanks,
Richard

Of course, it is not perfect and may class a genuine order as fraud, but the following 2 are good and reliable, plus they intergrate with Modernbill:
1. Varilogix Fraud Call - Telephone Verification Service
2. FraudGuardian

Well of course you want to perform AVS and grab the CVV. And then you can use one of the methods above.
There are hundreds of different methods that a lot of people use - some work and some do not: like not accepting users with free email accounts, checking IP address / ZIP code / area code manually (while some services do this for free), calling the user, emailing the user, using VBV / MSC are a few more examples

Does FraudGuardian intergrate with WHM Auto Pilot or ClientExec?
ModernBill is a bit out of my price range.
whatever

That is, as I always say, a ridiculous statement. For a core part of your business - billing - MB is a small price to pay for peace of mind. You can lease licenses from $14/month from mblicenses.com and some other resellers sell licenses for $8/month.

1. Varilogix Fraud Call - Telephone Verification Service - Could somebody please explain how this works? Is it an automated call?
whatever

Yes, it is automated and fairly self explanatory. Why don't you contact Varilogix and ask them how their service works?

100% method - accept payments only in cash. Here no other 100% methods.

Phone verification is great for fraud prevention.

MaxMind has a phone verifications service - it integrates with CE 2.6 and up. The plus is you can add however much money you want to your account kind of like a prepaid phone card - it charges a set rate per call depending on the country of the phone number. Its not a monthly fee like the others.
