I am looking to get back into the hosting business. I am thinking of picking up a server @ The Planet, and using xpanel to offer free hosting plans along with paid hosting plans. Along with this I am thinking of opening a forum for support but also open community to build traffic.

There are a couple of other things that I am contemplating... so if you are interested, seriously interested please let me know.

I am taking my time on this and not wanting to rush into throwing something up with out it being good and then dying off. Looking long term.

If you are a designer/coder, that is a plus!
I want someone willing to put some time in to get things done right.
Someone that will be in the forums to add posts and respond
Very customer service related..

I have money, some knowledge and time... Looking forward to hearing from you..

My email addy is star_cfo@yahoo.com can't pm here..

Might want to find a partner who is already a customer of The Planet because it seems that currently they are still only selling servers to existing customers. Of course you could already be one.

I already have a server star_cfo at Equinix, and its laying nearly empty. I am also a coder but i do not have so much time to code anything. I can provide the server, panel software and forum post/customer care, you can do the technical start up. How does that sound?

That's not true..Thanks for the update then, but when I went there today, their order system returned that for every type of server I tried to start the process for.

If you're not married to the idea of the planet, we've got a nearly-empty cabinet and spare servers in Equinix Chicago, and have plenty of room and good bandwidth at good rates.

We also have a pretty big community of users and might be able to work something out. Contact me at scott@ripside.com.
