Hii,
Lets say, a hosting company has very good pricing model, should say attractive. Has very good uptime, has all the necessary features. but the company is non-US based...yeah the servers are also located in US only...!
Will the US and other europian customers be willing to do business with such a company..??
I would like to know as a buyer, do you consider any such factors as being non-US based for your hosting needs..??
Thanks for any input here..
:)

Im not sure i fully understand your question
The company is non US based? So by that you mean it could be like a .co.nz or whatnot. But the servers are located in the us? I think if the company has a reputation for having good support and the pricing is reasonable then i dont think i would care the company itself was located,Although i do look for servers being located in datacenters in america for safety reasons.

there are many successful companies around here that have servers in US, but are based outside US...

if your server are located outside the USA. then your business plan should dictate that you want non-usa clients. why
1) ping times
2) local market knowledge and habits
3) local market economies
4) legal restriction on content might be different.
remmeber only because you are located out side the USA ( with the servers in the usa ) does not mean you are not subject to US law. search warrent can be issued to your noc and they will most likey comply. why? a search can at time demand the physical server be taken, if the NOC does not comply they might take more equiment than is need ( if a wolf smells meat then they want the entire caracas ).
this brings up the point of the .com registra ( a USA based firm ), they have become a target of legal law and in that gray field of whom controls the .com overall the registra or the owners. let's take the example of atomicbuildingathome101.com. registra is NS or VS and the owner is a swiss firm. if the homeland protection branch of the government is granted any real powers they might consider the site to be against US interest. so by using their broad based power, they might demand that network solutions or verisign kill of the domain.
interesting, is it not?

Hii,
Thanks for ur valuable inputs !

Its a .com only, but only thing is the office and the support center will be outside US. yeah, all the servers will be located in one of the US data centers.
The whole reason why I am asking this is that, a couple of friends of mine, just changed their whois info to a Us address, and suddenly they saw a huge increase in business...!

Greetings:
There would be several factors of importance:
24x7x365 support from the data center in terms of hardware and infrastructure support.
Solid speed to the U.S. If a U.S.-based business has its customer base predomonately in the U.S., then speeds throughout the U.S. would matter significantly.
Thank you.
