Is it just me... or is it annoying to have to click a couple times on the URL bar at the top to type in URL's and paste URL's in FireFox. For instance, if the total URL is highlighted in the URL bar at the top, you can't click and drag a part of the URL to delete. (like when you highlight everything after www. to type in something new). Is this a bug in my install or is this normal firefox behavior??? Thanks!

I have noticed a few issues with Firefox. I primarily have gone back to using IE since Firefox started locking up on me. I even upgraded and it only locks up on me every so often now.

I'll leave that cryptic message as is for the time being ;)
Yes, I've always had difficulties with Fx, mostly having to do with it not making timely http requests. It just hangs and hangs. Once it connects, it's as fast as anything, but I do get tired of waiting.

The same here.. it's very annoying.
I understand when Firefox is trying to be as standards compliant as possible and beats IE, but this has nothing to do with that. In fact, they are making useful features that most people (windows users) are so familiar with useless. Maybe it's beacuse the developers are simply not windows users themselves :)

Ok... well that's good to know it aint my version acting up on this. I think it is ridiculously annoying. If I was a developer on the Firefox team with a hangup like this.. I wouldn't let it hit the servers before getting such a thing fixed!!! I run a forum where people post URL's all day long but I do not allow the URL's to link.. so I have to copy and paste them... VERY ANNOYING WITH FIREFOX!! But I like the better-than-IE standards. Errrr.

What you could do though is to click and drag at once. You can't do that in IE. But why should we have to learn things in another way when they already function as they should?
Edit: actually it's faster this way :)

By golly I think you got it! It is easier... thanks for the cool tip. However I still must say... FF needs to be more intuitive! :)
