How do you purchase a support number (800#)? How much does this usually cost? Do I have to be in the area for phone call to be a 800#? I've never really messed with phone support before so please anything will help. Whats the normal pricing cost for this aswel? If I get a phone support number, can I have the call forwarded to my cell phone?

Thanks!

Take a look at www.telcan.net or kall8.com

Yes, you can have the number forwarded to any phone number.

If you search WHT you can find other tollfree phone number companies.

We've been using Kall8 for our toll-free number for about 3 years, and it works quite well. We used to have it forward to another number (or let the Kall8 voicemail pick it up), but now we have them route the call via VoIP to our own Asterisk gateway, which we use as a PBX.

It's US$10/month for the phone number (custom number... I believe you can a random number for $5), plus a little under $0.03/minute for the calls.

$0.03/minute for calls, now I'm curious about this. If i dont receive any calls in the month, than I dont get charged from them? Or is there a monthly payment anyway? Plus, does it cost extra for answering machine, and diffrent departments etc and for forwarding the call to a cell phone?

Just finished setting up a vanity number on tollfreeexpress.com's service, with autoattendant (press 1 for Sales, etc...), and it is great. Departments forward to whatever you set it up for, and we've also set up a non-interruptible promo message as one of the options. The only think I don't like is their web interface, it is not as intuitive as it should be.

Paying 19.95/month for these features and some more, plus a per minute rate of 5.2 cents per minute (but you can buy blocks of minutes up front and save one cent or so per). Voicemail is delivered via email if you want, you can get faxes and do "faxbacks". Lots of stuff. Not too bad so far.

GotVmail.com is another one. They're pretty quick and easy to use.

GotVmail.com is another one. They're pretty quick and easy to use.Have they fixed the security issue where they display your CVV2 in plain text on their site? This was brought up here at WHT and they were very lax in response to this critical security issue from what I remember
