If you don't mind, Ali, I also have a few "customers" I think I should post about for warning
(since you already started a general thread about it and likely people will see it).

Email: def[@]att-logon.us

REASON: PayPal fraud case, reversal of payment. Questionable content of site as well

========
Email: castingdreams[@]itelgua.com
IP: 4.242.171.168

REASON: Sends out thousands of bulk unsolicited spam from non-opt-in mailing list.

We actually had two from email domain "itelgua.com", and for the second one, we asked what would be the nature of the site before he signed up. He never got back to us :-s

This guy has signed up around 5 times... different names, credit cards and such. The only thing that is always the same is his IP starts with 4.*. :peace:

although "fraud alerts" are nice, it's somewhat concerning that you guys will openly distribute confidential client data.

Personally, I would not openly release that info. However, if you think about it, they are doing the person whose info was stolen a favor by preventing further false sign ups.

Scammer/Fraudulent customers, I think informing everyone about them will help stop these scammers.

Would you rather have these users signup and later on have a chargeback on your account? I would think not.

Thats not a concern, thats why we screen every order and have had 0 charge backs in over 3 years of operations.

9/10 times you are giving out the personal information of a legitimate person who has had their information stolen.

I'm sure they don't want you distributing their information.

Should be a centralized place for webmasters to exchange this type of information.... would prevent unnecessary exposure of private information. Would be pretty interesting if it was even integrated with admin parts of the popular web panels so you can submit info directly to it such as IPs and emails used. Upon sign up, it could also access and check the database to see if the person who is signing up matches any of the information in the database.

How would you restrict it to only webmasters, what would prevent someone from accessing this data to determine if their "profile" has already been flagged?

Likewise, I think these types of threads benefit the community and the industry by helping to prevent scammers and frauders.

Keep up the good work.

Could be true. Its better to deal with the banks / customer directly instead of throwing info around the boards

Thanks Ali, once again helping out the community.

Privacy is such a big thing now and days and to have someone post your information may seem a bit much, but this was not done in any malicious way to "flame" or "spam" that individual. Just soley to be a helpful note to others like Ali. Once again, good work.
