Hi,

I'm seeing (or noticing) increased incidences of hosts starting "watch out for this scammer" or "fraud order" type threads - - but including personal contact information of the fraud victim. That is, they post the name, phone number, address, etc. of the person who's stolen credit card is being used. I think this is adding insult to injury to the victim and highly questionable. In most cases its not even noted that the person is NOT the fraudster, but the victim.

I think there should be a new rule that says that you cannot post mailing addresses or phone numbers of fraud orders. Although I understand the reasoning behind hosts wanting to get that information out...I think its too high of a risk of hurting an innocent person who's already been hurt.

. . . I think there should be a new rule . . .I don't think we need a new rule. We still have the "use common sense" bit.

If you see someone posting a victim's information, report it so we can remove it.

Obviously, it isn't okay to do so.

If someone wants to "warn" of scammers and spammers, tell us the domain. Don't tell us the victims' details. Tell the authorities.
