I think I'm going crazy.

Where are people getting this weird bandwidth pricing lately.

I just saw 100 gigs at 20.00

I mean cogent is cheap but rumor has it they they might do a price increase and I can see the rebelion now .... lol

and I know that tier 1 carriers dropped the prices a bit ( not alot ) but I've seen prices as low as 1.53 to 1.71 for them ( I use 324gigs as my number per gigabit line )

is there something in the market I'm missing ?

Yeah, the fact that those hosting companies are dropping like flies.

Gee to tell you the truth up to about 30 minutes ago I swore I must have done some bad negociations. I poured over every note, just double checking everything.

and I'm glad to say that I feel comfortable at where I am with the cost structure I have ( not that I would not like lower ). well if they are dropping like flies I'm glad to here it. that means that those of us that price responsible to the market will win in the long run.

p.s. tier 1 multihomed ( 3 tier 1 carriers ) is about 575 to 655 per gigabit capped that was an old quote ( january ) but i wanted to pass along market information
