Hi, this is my first message here. I have two questions:
1 - I know what traffic means but I'd like to know the following: if my site has just one page and this page needs 200 kb to load, then the first hit a user click, the traffic would be 200 kb. But, after the first hit, most probably this user has the page in his cache, at his computer. So, if he click my address again, then I have a new page hit but do I have another 200 kb of traffic added (so now the total traffic is 400kb) or will the website host consider that actually, since all the files were already in the user's computer cache (I'm supposing the files were not modified) and so the traffic remains 200kb (or something near this value) ??
Okay, the question is long but I hope you understood what I mean.
2 - I need a web host for around 30 GB transfer monthly and a low price. I don't need big features (like forum, php, asp, etc..., just the good and old html). The transfer is my biggest problem. Can you out there recommend some alternatives. Right now I'm at Yahoo! Geocities (please, don't flame, I know it's a terrible web host) but the limit for them is 25 GB. I need a little more.
