For the record, I know that I spelled "premium" incorrectly on several occasions. Hasty typing and then copy/paste will get you every time :lovewht:

Hey Jeff,

Quick simple questions... :)
Would changing from 2x SCSI drives to 2x IDE drives be possible? Would this be considered an "upgraded" which would therefore cause a change in pricing?
Is it possible to move up the bandwidth ladder? :) i.e. If one started at 2000GB, but later wanted to go up to the 5000GB would it be just a difference in the two prices?

Thanks.

Steven.C,

Thanks for your interest. The pricing listed for these specials is based on "AS IS" clearance to move leftover inventory. In many cases there may not even be IDE interfaces on the SCSI systems.

You may upgrade bandwidth in the future, but the upgrade may be priced diffrently at that time depending on our objectives. If you anticipate needing a large amount of bandwidth in the future, it's best to start out with that package to save in the long run.

I prefer NOT to hiring other company like rack911 to do the initial server hardening.
I wonder what your Security maintenance exactly mean

http://www.rack911.com/index.php?act=security&sub=1

e.g. do you install like APF/BFD/root hunter...etc

IKillBill,

I'm not one of the admins so I don't know the specifics of what is standard, but anything you need done within reason will be accomodated.

Hi

Here's my questions:
1. What is your total pipe capacity you have?
2. What is your peak utilisation rates?
3. Does your off-peak being free traffic apply to this offer?
4. What is included in your DDOS mitigation?
5. What is the cost to include DDOS mitigation service in the package?

That will do for a start. You can also contact me via the contact details listed. Thanks.

1) 2 Gbps currently installed with ink on paper to bring it to 4 Gbps.

2) Under 500 Mbps

3) You may add off-peak traffic to any package here. It will be discounted by 5% from the prices listed on our site when ordered before 2006.

4 and 5) DDoS mitigation packages are very, very involved custom setups that are molded to fit your particular threat. These plans should not be confused with a simple firewall product offered by many dedicated server hosts on the market.

If you're mitigating DDoS from an IRC server or a non-mission critical web server, it will usually be $1000/mo in addition to the cost of the server. This number goes up to $5000/mo or more when mitigating DDoS on business critical web hosting customers. The exact number depends on the needs of the client.
