Hi,
I have recently hired my first employee and I have alot of new issues to deal with. The first one has been a contract. Does anyone have any demo contracts that they are willing to share with me??
I am training my employee basically from scratch. Duties involve making updates to my clients websites using dreamweaver and generally helping out around the office.

If anyone has some tips for the "new managment" please let me hear about it.

Many thanks - "the new boss!"

You're a new employer, but you've been an employee before, right? Did you have a contract? Except for certain managment position, there's typically not a written contract between employers and employees. Are you sure you need one?

Now, if the person working for you is not actually an employee, that'd be different and would probably be a contractual relationhip. Are you withholding taxes? Will you file a W-4 for this person, or a 1099?

Check out http://www.allbusiness.com .

They have lots of contracts for sample use that may be helpful to you.

Hope that helps.
