First of all, paypal is free. There is no monthly fee or setup fees like 2CO or Authorize.net. For those that are just starting out, spending your money setting up merchant account and integrating gateways should be the last thing you should worry about. I would concentrate more on getting visitors to the site first and build up some potential before actually spending money into getting a payment gateway etc. For those that use PlugNpay and authorize.net for credit card processing and payment gateways, there are required monthly fees even though you don't make any sales. With paypal, you don't have to worry about that. Another plus is that even though your visitor don't have a paypal account, they can still make payments with their credit card or debit card.
The only downside for paypal is that it does not look professional. When a visitor needs to make a payment, it will take the visitor away from your site to their own payment site. If you are looking for professionality, paypal is not for you. However, paypal is always a good option to give to consumers.
If I'm missing anything or anyone that do not agree with me, please post here, and I'll just keep my mouth closed :lovewht:
