What is a good place to trade $10,000+ domain? Searched a few places. They are either for low price domains or charge extremely high advertising for listings.

If it's the same _I_ mean (i.e. you have a $10000+ domain, have a buyer for it and want the sale to be as smooth as possible), try sedo.com or escrow.com Good luck! bear 12-23-2005, 08:27 AM I'd be curious to know what domain you have that's valued that high. You'd pay a hefty fee at escrow.com for that amount, but the peace of mind would be worth it. eSology 12-23-2005, 09:34 AM You would be surprised at how low the fee is. I just sold a group of domains almost near that value and the fee was $78 each for the buyer and myself. I think the OP was referring to where they could list the domain for sale since it is a "high value" domain. Something like Great Domains, Sedo, numerous forums, Afternic, etc. bear 12-23-2005, 10:17 AM Just had a look, and it would be $178+- for 10K. Not much considering the total. stub 12-23-2005, 09:21 PM BuyDomains.com GreatDomains.com Sedo.com Afternic.com Don't expect any kind of quick sale unless you sell 50% or more below market price. Dan L 12-23-2005, 09:24 PM Moniker.com also does escrow. kohashi 12-24-2005, 05:05 PM If it is such a high value domain name you might want to advertise it is for sale on the page itself. Presumably there would be considerable traffic on a $10,000 domain name. Maxo 12-25-2005, 05:08 AM Also you could post a thread regarding domain name sale on following popular domain forums: dnforum.com platinum membership is $50 one time fee domainstate.com registration free namepros.com registration free Also if your domain name is really a quality one, I would advise also purchasing Showcase listing from major players like Afternic and Sedo. Dan L 12-25-2005, 11:56 AM I'll second dnForum, Bashar and I both have accounts there, and I'd imagine some other people in this forum do aswell. Namepros also gets a comparable amount of traffic. SitePointForums.com has a domain advertising forums, where you can list a domain for $4.95 iirc. othellotech 12-26-2005, 10:33 AM If you're looking to *sell* then yes dnforum is a great place to find a buyer If you're looking for someone to handle the sale now you've found a buyer, despite their high fees I can recommend sedo stub 12-26-2005, 05:49 PM If you're looking for someone to handle the sale now you've found a buyer, despite their high fees I can recommend sedo It's a high fee just to do a bit of negotiating. If you've found a buyer, then mostly you will have agreed a price already (else how do you know they are a buyer). If you've agreed the price already, I'd post it directly with www.escrow.com. They will safely handle the transaction for both the buyer and seller. It's cheaper, and you can split the fees 50:50. ImBae.net 12-26-2005, 05:52 PM sedo you have to pay 10% which is ridiculous go with escrow.com |
