Is anyone else noticing that namecheap seems to be down. Wonder what happened? :( Hope the domain i just thought of is still available when it comes back up. Missed one yesterday by two hours. Ever had one grabbed while was still thinking about it or put it off? I hate that feeling!

Please try the following:
Open the www.namecheap.com home page, and then look for links to the information you want.
Click the Refresh button, or try again later.
HTTP Error 500-13 - Server too busy

I can't access it either. They are running MS IIS <- That should explain a couple things.. Must be time to reboot NT Again

This is a Verisign imposed outage. It is expected to last 4 hours or so. All CNO registrars are effected.

Namecheap is up. Was tempted to go through ENOM but they still haven't refunded my $20 from the preregistration I didn't get. The .com/.net/.org registry isn't up though, but i'm grabbin US names so it don't matter. I got the three that I wanted all day. Whew!

LOL yeah, this downtime will definitely increase the .US registrations.

This is going to be hell, domains are saying they arent registered when they are and everything else. I just registered a domain name, and its still saying not registered, so I hope someone else doesnt register it, and beat me to the dns. Cause ill be out 10 bucks. :(

Does this affect nameserver updates (of already registered domains) too? I've transferred to a new host and I still can't see my domain. 72 hours are already up days ago.
