Hello:
Can raq/qube servers be administered through firefox browser and ifso, what are the settings for firefox that make this possible?
So far, I've only been able to successfully log in thhrough I.E. All replys are greatly apreciated.
Cheers, Vinnie

Make sure you have Javascript enabled for the domain you're trying to administer.

My problem with firefox is, that when I try to remotely administer the raq over the internet using firefox to browse to the logon page for the raq, I at the index page, when I try the link to get to the logon page, it never opens to the logon page, even though the address bar says it's pointed there. No errors show up, it just never opens. I.E. opens rite away . any suggestions?
happy holidays, vinnie

Vinnie,
I think we need a bit more info on what you're using. Which version of the Cobalt/RAQ server? Which version of Firefox? Personally, I am using Firefox without any problems at all, but I know that other sites, with certain Firefox extensions loaded, give me problems, so you might try disabling all extensions first and then see if it works.

Michael:
Thank you for your response. I don't quite understand your meaning concerning what site I am using. I am using browser based administration on Cobalt Qube 3 and RaQ 4i servers that I have on my network. I could logon to these boxes with I.E. I was not able to with Firefox. So this enabled me to only use windows to administer them when I actually wanted to use Linux.
I have now found that I can logon to the cobalts using Konquerer (KDE browser), so I'm good for now. At this point wondering while Firefox didn't work.
Extensions? What extensions? I am not running a MAC, so I am not quite sure what extentions you speak of. Get back to me on this if you would.
Cheers, Vinnie

Using any browser with a RaQ 4 should not be an issue; there aren't any "tricks" in the pages. A little Javascript here and there I think but that's it.
The RaQ XTR used the first iteration of Sausalito and only works well with IE. With Firefox, Mozilla, etc many of the page links/tabs/etc simply do not appear.
Qube 3 should also be "safe" with Firefox; I don't have one available at the moment to try out though, but I don't recall any problems.
Sausalito does make fair use of Javascript, thus my recommendation to make sure it's enabled for the domain of the server (e.g., you use http://www.example.com/login/ to get to the admin UI, make sure that Javascript functions are enabled for the example.com domain).
The extensions others referred to are add-in modules you can download from various sources that add functionality to the browser. It's possible that if you have any of them, they might be interfering with "normal" functioning of the browser.
But the RaQ 4 issue puzzles me; it's a pretty vanilla HTML UI. I don't know why you would be having any issues with it at all.
