Months before I decided to start my own hosting business (about 3 years ago), I had signed up with a "one-time" fee account with nomonthlyfees.com for $180. Recently, my account suddenly was erased and they have no record of me as a client!!

As I have a copy of the original order, I could have pushed the issue, but I decide from that not to waste my time with this completely unprofessional company and move the site to my own server(s). I am going to pursue receiving a refund of the payment, however.

At any rate, PLEASE AVOID THIS COMPANY for your own sake!

um, well.... um.... heh

I think "you get what you pay for" applies here, while this could have been an accident on their part i'm sure they do this ocasionally to purge their systems and keep costs down

As an experienced webhost (now), I am truely aware that you recieve what you pay for. The point of my post was to be an example of that, to hope that others hosting clients do not make the same stupid mistake.

>sure they do this ocasionally to purge their systems and keep costs down
From this response it sounds like you consider this an acceptable and common practice. Do you do this with your clients?

nomonthlyfees.com took my money and ran to. they never even setup the domain or registered the domain that I bought luckily I got a refund without any problems. their staff was nice but too unorganized. they kept forgetting that I was even a customer.
