Status: PENDINGDELETE [expired, cannot be renewed; will be available within 0-5 days]
Dates: Created 03-oct-2004 Updated 15-dec-2005 Expires 03-oct-2005
I tried to register a domain name today with Godaddy and found that it has been taken. When I checked the Whois information I found that the domain is pending delete.
The domain is registered with another registrar. Here are my questions:
(1) Will that registrar renew it or will they delete it and make it available within 0-5 days later? Or will it be snapped up by domain squatters?
(2) Should I use Godaddy's backorder services or should I try to register that domain with the original registrar of that domain name? I am kind of short of money, because I am now addicted to registering new domain names. For example, today I just registered 6 new domain names. So, I am not willing to pay Godaddy US$18 for backorder. So, will the domain be available if I try to register it 1-5 days later?
Thank you for sharing your experience with registering pending delete domain names.

Who knows ??
Just because you are skint from buying domains does not give you a prior right, if someone else whats it and is willing topay more/be quicker off the mark then you have lost it.
It is a buyers market and a first come first served decision. $18 for a domain you really want is peanuts
NO! Never backorder a domain! Who is the registrar?
You should read my post in the thread "back orders - who to use" on this forum

The registrar is enoms. Will they delete it? I really like that domain name but not willing to pay. From webarchive's record it clearly shows that the domain is not being used by the owner.

There's no sure guarantee. You only know when the time(0-5days) comes.

Is Godaddy monitoring your WHOIS enquiry?
Today I found out that the domain name I mentioned above is taken and registered at Godaddy for one year exactly on the same day I made the whois enquiry and posted this thread. :(
I suggest you be careful when making whois enquiry with your domain registrar as they might steal the domain from you.

Well, you will not get it without paying. The more you want it the more you will be prepared to pay. You should visit www.clubdrop.com and search for the domain there. When it appear for auction, and it surely will if it's not renewed, then bid on it. You will be almost 100% certain of capturing the domain unless your outbid.
Do you mean archive.org? They do not guarantee to cover every domain in existence.
OK. Since it's registered post the domain name so we can do some research.

on the 5th day between 6pm-8pmGMT it usually becomes available.
and if there is backorder on it you will not even feel it bcomes available because the second it comes available another backorder service will snap it :)
It will more than likely go to auction before any backorder kicks in. Enom > Club Drop. Bid on it there, but there seems to be some confusion. First it's Pending Delete at Enom, then it's Registered at GoDaddy... on the same day!
