View Full Version : What company is best for me?

Torith

Now I am very picky when it comes to pick a hosting company. I am looking at spending $40.00 to $50.00 per month.

Company has to be in business for over a year better if over 2 years.
Company has to allow over selling
Company has to have a good reputation
Company has to have good support
Company has cPanel and DA
Uptime is a must
Speed is a must
Has more then email for support as in phone support if server goes down, etc.

Any company matches what I am looking for?

Wow, you know what you're looking for. That's a great thing, as many people just go through and pick. You can try the link on the top named "Find a Host" and get some quotes. You forgot to say the specs on the account you need. How much space and bandwidth do you need?

Good luck,

Roman

I would recommend searching for reviews.

Also, what is your budget?

I find it excellent you know what you want, but if you're on a low budget, you'll be hardpressed to find what you're looking for.

The OP has already stated this:

Though I am not certain about overselling enabled - for cpanel reseller hosting, the best I have seen and spoken to are:

www.monsterhosting.ca
www.digitallyjustified.com

Certainly more expensive then some of your other options, but, they are both within your budget and have both proven themselves to be reliable.

estores4less.com

Ecommerce
comes with designs, phone, email, and forum support, shopping cart, paypal intergration, ebay intergration, bandwidth never an issue.

Server is never down, and pages load fairly quickly.

Pricing starts at $24 a month, or $19 annualy.
Right now they are redesigning their website, but it should be up tomorrow, as what they said in an email sent to me

Thanks for the note Cartika, much appreciated. I just wanted to touch based on a couple points, as it is important for the thread starter to note them:

- we do not provide Direct Admin as a control panel
- we generally (not 100% of the time) only permit overselling of bandwidth, not disk space. If you can prove to us that you are not creating/selling packages that are the standard "$1 for the world", we usually are okay with it.
- we currently only provide helpdesk ticket support at this time. However, it is important to know, that we have 2 different DC locations and a server dedicated to the helpdesk. The odds that multiple servers and the network and both locations go down at the same time, are in our favour :)

Other than that, what people are saying about us is all true :D

Actually, the donkey walks the pin wheel that powers our servers and the clown keeps it amused during the wee hours of the night to ensure reliability ;)

it was originally a personal hosting service, but they have added a site recently

So let's recap here:

1. You bought hosting from estore4less.com that opened on the 20th.
2. You then raced to WHT to become a member on the 21st.
3. Then you started to recommend them to others on the 21st.

If your one day experience with them has been good then we are all glad to hear it. You will have to admit though that the above sure seems weird.

If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck your probably safe to assume it is a duck.

Just my thoughts.

Well one or another. Would be nice if the host did offer both, but I know that is hard to find.

because of too much

Torith:

Some of the best names that I have witnessed here at WHT are:

www.sonataweb.net (Using their services for past 13 months)
www.clook.net
www.kualo.com

Wish you all the best in your host hunt!

Well I am still looking over a few hosts that would fit my needs. One of course is http://www.digitallyjustified.com . We are looking over reviews from WebHostingTalk.com as well over the Internet from Google.com and Yahoo.com. I strive to find a host that will fit my needs and willing to pay what they are worth.

If the OP is willing to look outside of cPanel/DA - they might want to look at CartikaHosting.com. Andrew and crew run a tight ship :)

Torith,

Many hosts that you find at WHT probably will either a) not last very long b) show massive dieteration in quality as times passes by c) not meet your needs.

With that said, there are a few hosts out there (at WHT specifically) that can cater to your needs, perfectly.. (with the exception of the 'and DA' part, not many hosts offer two control panel options) I would suggest looking for a company that bases their ethics off of pure honesty and integrity. Examples of these companies would be ASmallOrange, Dotable, HTTPMe, and a few others - who you will likely find while scouring through the many hosts here at WHT (which many of are simply high schoolers who think they know what they're doing, so be careful).

Best of luck on your search. I know you'll definitely be able to find a good host.
