View Full Version : Server Movement

Probably a repeated question on the forums, but I was planning on moving my customers from a RAQ 4r to a p3 plain redhat box (if I can wake up at 11am CST tomorrow for the RS bargain box).

1) Once I get control of the RedHat plain box, would Webmin and Usermin install be relatively easy to upload and run? It seems that I would just run the RPMs and then log onto http://localhost:10000 and start the process. I'm studying the docs at webmin.com

2) Any quick and easy method of adding users, SMTP info, DNS records, etc from the RAQ to this new server?

I was probably going to use lftp and the mirror function to transfer files from the server to the other. I'm just worried since I have about 100 accounts that I have to worry about. Some domains even have multiple users :(

Last, my concern is about name-based hosting with bandwidth limitations? How would I go about limiting the bandwidth used per month (ala Ensim) and limiting the bandwidth output (ala RAQ) for each domain? The former is absolutely needed as I'm a webhost.

Ideas?
