Hello, I'm one of the editors for Lovethescene.com, an ezine/community devoted to music and helping out the artists you'll probably never hear that could easily blow away mainstream artists in terms of talent. In our short 3 month existence, we've managed to pull in support from several labels, publicists, agencies, artists, and even clubs that have helped us set up interviews, reviews, and special offers including contests, vip access, and more. We're looking for some people to help us expand our site and continue to provide anyone with even more content. We're looking for anyone that can help out with anything as everything (even small things) really do help a lot. The site isn't a Myspace clone, but it uses the community aspect to keep users coming back and exposing them to new music as a result. We're looking for -

Reviewers - Virtually any music lover with some experience in writing would really be able to have fun with this. You can review just about anything you'd like and we'll get you copies of whatever we can =)

Columnists - Anybody that likes to voice their opinions in a Seinfeld like way is definitely going to be interested in this.

Designers - While I do most of the design on the site, there are a few areas where it could likely be improved. If you'd like to help out with designing/redesigning just let me know :)

Coders - Our site has loads of features already, but we'd really like to provide the users with as many powerful features as possible (especially our artists). Right now, artist profiles are a bottleneck for us as we don't have a CMS that can handle them, forcing us to add them all manually. We'd love to get an enormous base of artists, but time is restricting what we can do here. I'd really appreciate anyone that could help us out in creating some functionality similar to purevolume that could let the artists add anything they wanted to their profiles.

Since the site's start, we've been moved through three different servers to keep up with the traffic. Still, we make virtually no money (less than we could/should make) because we don't like to fill the site with ads. While ads pull in revenue, they're intrusive and distract everyone. The site is something we started to help out friends in similar positions to us since we know how tough it can be to be in a band. We're not in it for money, just what we can do to get new music out there. We really appreciate all the help we get, more than you know - Thanks so much for your time, Patrick

If you'd like to get in touch with me with any suggestions or ideas or if you'd like to help out you can send me a message on here, email me at Patrick [at] lovethescene.com, or you can chat with me on AIM on the screenname lovethescenelive.

I like your way of thinking. I also love that you don't put too many ads on the site with respect to the bands that are as low on cash as you. That's showing some scene love. I sent you an email. Check it :)
