Hello I think reselling is ok but I for one would like more control over what I do.
is there any way to have root access as a reseller?
Adding programs of my own and also having globel control.

Ok how much of difference is there between a dedicated server? I know silly question
because from what I understand you do have more control over your Server.

Thank you for any help on this...

What you want is a Virtual Private Server (VPS), check out powervps.com

They're slightly more expensive, but they're quality.

I was going to get a Mini-Server from them. But they didn't offer enough bandwidth/Webspace.

And by the way, all that those Mini-Servers are, are VPS servers. You can find loads of offers on them here... http://www.webhostingtalk.com/forumdisplay.php?f=104

Anyone know good resellers?
Plenty good recommendations in the reseller section. My personal recommendations are:

ResellerZoom.com (Advanced & Premium plans only, do NOT get the budget)
HostGator.com
PilotHost.com
gazzin.com (be aware that there is some issues that may arise, of course, same could be said for all hosts.)

Good luck, and happy days!

He doesn't want just 'Reseller Hosting', He also wants to have Route access. For example, a VPS :D or Miniserver..

That mini server deal looks like a good idea, i wonder if they can be upgraded in the future .....

I would suggest a vps. If you go with someone using virtuosso/plesk vps's as well, then the migration path for upgrading and downgrading between their plans should also be seemless and allow you to grow (or shrink!) as needed.

Like I said before, that is a VPS - Look at the Offer forums at the bottom

Under Reseller Hosting you will not get any root access or to install programs ...
But in a VPS its all yours .. you can do whatever you want...

Remember,

Reseller is almost always managed, where as a lot of vps's are not managed, so make sure you get a managed vps or are ready to take the administrative responsibilities (needing both time and skill).

Well reseller kinda always has to be managed... Unless the people don't manage their server :S - That is V. good advise by the way!

I have never heard of an unmanaged reseller, but then again I was into webhosting 2+ years ago.

Mini servers are basically just low-budget dedicated servers, but don't consider doing anything serious on those. I think you'd have more power with a VPS. Some reseller providers will offer semi-dedicated solutions featuring the ability to restart servers and some form of SSH access (I'm guessing Jail Shell).
