I will be posting these on our site shortly - in the mean time email jher ndon@gnax.net (the email address needs to have the space removed to work) to request these until they have been posted on the auto sign up area.

its on our silver network which gives you inbound routes on all these:

including 25 direct private peerings and outbound routes on cogent currently. much better tracerts than a cogent only provider.

we can make it 2 x40 or a 40 and an 80 or whatever you like outside or bigger than that for a small one time fee. cpanel is 29 per month and fantastico is free.

Okay, so am I correct in understanding that I can start out with a 10mbit/s, then upgrade that to 20mbit/s in a month or so for another $100 extra and then upgrade that for another $300 extra a few months after that? I'd like to have some flexibility here, because the growth of my traffic is rather unpredictable.

Please confirm/deny bandwidth has no inbound/outbound restrictions?

Are the lines capped at 10/20MB etc?

yes - yes the b andwidth is dedicated - you can run at that speed all day long - this is not like some of the low priced shared offers where they are putting 15 unmetered 100 meg servers on a single 100 meg uplink.

no - should be adding some more to it - but working on price on them.
dc is in atlanta - this is at the gnax dc
we dont guarantee anything on throughput - but yes you should get it. We have quite a few companies on this and they all like it -ask for their opinion.

we charge you on the day you signup each month.

yes we support fbsd
there are not any inbound or outbound restrictions except for some common security ports blocked in the acl - but we have not gotten a single complaint or request for open on them.
the lines are capped at the speed they are listed at.

I see that you get a discount for longer billing cycles... can these cycles be changed after ordering? If I take a 1 year billing cycle, can I still upgrade within this year? If I upgrade, will it take effect immediately or only month-per-month? Downgrading won't be possible until the next billing cycle, correct?

I am not sure - will have to check for you. it is one that will work with the components we have - wont be the absolute latest since those usually have massive driver issues.

this service is only monthly billing. we dont know if all the providers will be priced the same long term or in business - so we dont want to take any ones money that long in advance and discount it when we rely on low cost bandwidht from our suppliers to make this deal happen .

I already called and ordered the server with FreeBSD5.4R. Support said they would install whichever I requested and since 6.0R is not supported by cpanel yet and has major installation issues I will stay with 5.4R.

@PTH: (trying to answer)
Changing the ips must be affected the name server setting, SSL certificate, and accounts on your server which have dedicated IPs on them.
You'll have to re setting IP on your nameserver & wait them to be propagate properly, re-issue the SSL cert (if you have one) and re-set the IPs from accounts on your server.
The rest of rebuilding the IPs on your server I'm sure will be done by Gnax, I'm sure they know what they have to do :).

Hope it help :)

actually its not the wrong amount. the amount total is correct. our billing system just does not show the install fee as seperate on the backup you ordered. the next invoice will show the monthly amount without the install fee added in . as you stated in the post on our forum - the total is correct you just were expecting to see the install as seperate and our billing system does not do that.

1. if I go with 10mbs server (AMD Dual Opteron 244 1 gig ram 120 gig hd), that means the port is cap at 10 mbps right? so in theory I can get about ~3200gb?

2. is it possible to change to 100mbps and cap the limit to 3200 instead? cause we need the speed.

3. we want to test the your server by going with 10mbps and if everything works out we will upgrade to 50mbps. is the price the same with current offer of $610?

Okay, I got the server and it's working great! Hardware and network seem to be okay.

According to the MRTG graphs, it does seem like it's not capped at 10mbit/s but a bit higher. Is this normal?

The MRTG graphs are not accurate for the first thirty (30) days.

It was another issue, which was resolved. The graphs were accurate.

I ordered a second 20mbps server today.

Question: can these servers be crosslinked?

The primary goal of these servers is to serve bulk static content. I wonder if there's more point to having them behind different switches for the sake of redundancy. Any thoughts?
