Would someone be able to tell me what is the common colo sign up procedures? Also if possible, post your colo contract.

I got one from ardentcomm. Its only contain 4 paragraphs and doest seem to say much nor mention anything about our equipment. Maybe there is another one we need to sign at a later date when our machines arrive at their data centre. But can any of you take a look at it and let me know if everything looks fine to you.

you should have a tos & aup & sla. least i do for my rack rental. you also shouldn't send anything until you have signed everything and they have co-signed and faxed you a copy back.

Actually i too was curious if you have to sign it and fax it back, and from what i understand the provider doesnt have to fax it back unless you request a copy. But its always good to request a copy.

I dont know about other peoples colo contracts but ours are a gazillion pages long like 15 pages or something... but a majority of them are appendixes where you describe what equipment youll send etc.

Josh it looks fine. Its exactly like mine and all you do is fax it back to ardent and you dont have to sign anything when the server arrives, Irve from ardent should take care of you if not one of the other colo tech's there all helpful and freindly.

Hey Folks,

My 2 cents...You should always get a copy of any contract you sign. Best case is to have a copy with their original signature on it. CYA.
