Still looking around for some hosting options. You here about little mom and pop operations going belly up after raking in the $$$. I don't want to get caught up in that.
But some of those were from hostsearch.com
Digital Zones Hosting (http://www.dzones.com)
SpliceHost (http://www.splicehost.com)
VerseHost (http://www.versehost.com)
Some use the word UNLIMITED a little to much, but there is some great pricing.
Thanks for any help

What happened here between takiman and dside? Dside has VerseHost in his sig. I must admit that VerseHost's website made me begin to consider them, but if what taki said is true, then I'm not wanting to consider that. But....what was true and what wasn't?
Dside, what is your take on this?

There was a conflict because of an association with VerseHost and myself. The problem had nothing to do with VerseHost Web Hosting and was regarding another company I had worked with.
Everything is okay now, and Taki and I have discussed this. Please, no more questions about takiman's old post as it is unrelated to this.
Edit: Please don't think anything negative of TakiWeb either. They are pretty good for what they do. I did not mean anything against them, but was mentioning something true in relation of and in defense again Taki's original post.
Regards,
David

Have I heard of splicehost? - I'll say!
2Mhost - you don't fool me so easily - you obviously work for them!
Well I am a former customer and i know of other former customers too - and we are all very upset with splicehost.com.
My website has also gone down and I can't get hold of anyone either! No contact number either.
I think it would be far better to spend an extra dollar on a reputable host. I wish I did. Boy do I regret it now.
I don't know how they can slep at night.
It is impossible to get hold of them. They know what they are doing, they choose not to answer emails.
Little surprise that they are based in another country - I wonder if anyone has ever tracked them down? (1 person told me they were in Egypt, another said Isreal). If you know where they are based tell us here please.
They failed to inform me and when my name was up for renewel.
I suspect they trade expired domains, this should not be possible due to the 'period of grace'. However if they ignore all my emails for 45 days then there is nothing I can do.
they should be shut down. Only downside to shutting them down, is that they will just set up in business again under a different name and start their scam all over again.
The law is very much behind when it comes to online crime!
I think people should go with companies who are trading in their own country, that way, they have more chance of resolving disputes.
Avoid splicehosts like the plague!
