I am debating on what to go with, id like to offer trials for like a dollar, that convert to automated billing after a set pay period to the regular price, but want to make sure I am going to go with the right company to do so. If that sounds confusing here is how I would billing to work( and I dont want any comments on this style of marketting, I know free trials are played out, and so is cheap ones, so dont bother).

Client signs up, enters into the billing agreement, and system, pays a dollar or whatever for a 14 day trial (or however long), after the trial the client can either cancel his account, or start getting invoices.

Would I need a merchant account with this, what automated billing systems work with something like this, and would it work with 2co?

I don't think there's anything out there at this time. To my knowledge, you'd have to do this manually if the client plans to continue with your services.

You can set up something like this in most billing systems. For example in modernbill you would create a coupon that discounts the first billing cycle by a specific percentage, or overrides the price with a set amount. The customer then uses this code when signing up and gets billed the small amount. The next month they will be billed the full amount.

Oh right. That would work. I forgot about the coupon feature! There you go emzec.
